Diagnostic hysteroscopy
Diagnostic hysteroscopy in Tunis, Tunisia · Centre Urbain Nord
Examination of the inside of the womb with a thin camera passed through the natural passages, with no incision.
What is it?

When is it indicated?
Unusual bleeding needs to be understood. Looking directly inside the womb helps find the cause, such as a polyp.
When an ultrasound shows a thickening or a small growth inside the womb, hysteroscopy shows exactly what it is.
An abnormality of the cavity can prevent an embryo from implanting. Hysteroscopy checks that the inside of the womb is normal.
A septum or adhesions inside the womb can make miscarriage more likely. The examination looks for them.
After removal of a polyp, a fibroid or adhesions, hysteroscopy checks that the cavity has returned to its normal shape.
